Sticks’n’Sushi Introduces Cocktail Masterclasses in Collaboration with House of Suntory

Guests will learn about the production, history, and culture of Japanese Spirits alongside enjoying Sticks’n’Sushi signature dishes, and the art of origami.

Get ready for an unforgettable experience as Sticks’n’Sushi proudly unveils its first cocktail masterclass at their brand-new Shoreditch restaurant. Launching this April, in collaboration with the esteemed House of Suntory and the expertise of brand ambassador Raffaele Di Monaco, these masterclasses will showcase four distinctive cocktails paired with some of Sticks’n’Sushi’s most popular dishes.  

Like the craft of sushi, Sticks’n’Sushi believes that blending the perfect cocktail is both an art and a science. Alongside House of Suntory, participants will delve into the intricate world of mixology, learning the secrets behind creating signature cocktails, centred around Japanese flavours and spirits. Suntory is a House of Japanese artisans, crafting world-class spirits, inspired by Japanese nature and mastered with Japanese craft. Raffaele will have access to an array of local and seasonal Japanese ingredients believed to be at their peak contributing to the flavour and nutrition of each new cocktail. While showcasing Sticks’nSushi’s new cocktails guests will gain insights into the inspiration and craftsmanship behind each creation.

Maguro Nigiri Cocktail

Each ticket includes Welcome Roku & tonic, four cocktails and four small bites, as well as learning the art of folding origami between courses.

Signature cocktails and dishes include: 

  • Maguro Nigiri – paired with Haku High; Rice and white chocolate liqueur served with soda water 
  • Shishito Yaki Stick – paired with Spicy Kumquat Gimlet; Kumquat & lime cordial and Sansho pepper oil 
  • Hotate Kataifi – paired with The Composer; Hibiki Japanese harmony, crème de peche, Peychaud bitters, orange flower water and Champagne  
  • Matcha Fondant – paired with Matcha Julep; Toki Japanese whisky, melon and matcha juice, vanilla syrup, and vanilla bitters 

Vegan options are available for the menu pairing. The classes operate with a maximum of 16 guests and launching in April exclusive to Sticks’n’Sushi Shoreditch, on 100 Shoreditch High Street. Tickets are priced at £40 pp.
